The Bluegrass Mix project is what happens when 2 friends who had never actually met at the time, decide to create an internet Bluegrass radio station.
Both Roger Randolph and Julie Raye started internet broadcasting on another internet station about Apr 2006 and enjoyed the experience of bringing this awesome music into peoples homes on an international level. In the latter part of 2007 both started feeling that there was something missing in what they were doing so decided to strike out on their own to explore their own creativity in Internet broadcasting and on 9 Dec 2007 The Bluegrass Mix.Com was born.
Roger, Julie and all of the
volunteer hosts associated with The Mix hope that our listeners will find
our broadcasts entertaining and informative.
Don't forget our popular chatroom where you can meet up with some great bluegrass fans and even some bluegrass artists that occasionally stop by. You never know who might pop in to say howdy. We also offer a Guestbook for visitors to record their visits. and a Blog for our broadcasters to share announcements to the listeners.
The equipment at the
Bluegrass Mix is simply a PC with Windows 7 operating system. The
24/7 automated stream computer is home built around an AMD cpu, MSI
mainboard, 3com 10/100 Ethernet card, Creative LIVE soundcard with front
panel "Live Drive" connectivity. 2 Hard drives, CD, DVD drives
All of the above is possible due to donations from the loyal listeners and in late 2014, adding Google Ads to the website. Any size donation is welcome.
Thanks for Listening
